  1. Teaching vocabulary related to films

Objectives: Students are expected to learn the different types of films, describe each type, and express their cinematic preferences.

Activities: First the teacher will show pictures from different movies and a list of types of films. The students, working as a group, will have to connect the images with the categories they belong to. After giving the correct answers, the teacher will ask some students about their favourite film and type of film. The teacher will then give the characteristics of a type of film and the students will try to guess which type of film is being described. To end the session the students will work in pairs, they will ask their partners about their cinematic preferences, descriptions of their favourite films etc.

    Material: Computer and projector

Evaluation: By asking certain students about their preferences the teacher will be able to assess the level of understanding of the concepts explained. During the final activity the teacher will walk around the classroom listening to the conversations to make sure the students have no doubts and they are able to use the new vocabulary.
